Digital marketing for interior designers and architects
Digital marketing for interior designers is a portfolio business. Clients buy what they can see, and they decide in the first ten seconds whether your work matches the home or office in their head. Zuptek Infotech works with interior designers, architects, modular kitchen and wardrobe studios, turnkey contractors and landscape designers across India and abroad. The thing that matters most is a portfolio that is photographed properly, published on a fast website, and shown on Instagram and Google to people who have just bought a flat or signed an office lease.

How clients find an interior designer or architect today
Design is chosen by looking, then confirmed by talking.
This is where most residential clients discover designers. Reels of finished projects, walkthroughs and before-and-after transformations. Clients save posts for months and then DM when possession date approaches.
Google Search
“Interior designer in [city]”, “3 BHK interior cost”, “modular kitchen price per sq ft”, “architect for house construction near me”, “office interior contractor”. Price questions dominate, and the designer who answers them gets the call.
Google Maps
“Interior designer near me” returns studios with photos and reviews. For walk-in studios selling modular kitchens and wardrobes, this matters as much as Instagram.
Pinterest and YouTube
Inspiration and long-form project tours, especially for larger budgets.
Builder and broker referrals
New possession in a society means dozens of flats needing interiors at once. Brokers and society groups are a direct channel.
Justdial, UrbanClap-style platforms and lead marketplaces
Shared leads with heavy price competition.
Floor plans, quotes, 3D renders and site updates all move here. Clients judge professionalism by how you communicate on it.

Compliance and industry rules
Registered architects are bound by Regulation 2(1)(xxv) of the Architects (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 1989: an architect shall not advertise professional services or allow their name to be used for publicity. The Council of Architecture restated this in a May 2022 advisory on print and social media advertising, which lists the exceptions. An architect may, among other things, have their name and work described in the press or other media without paying for it, appear in a client’s brochure for a project they designed, send brochures describing their experience to potential clients identified by name and position, and be listed in the classified columns of a trade or professional directory or website. Separately, Section 37 of the Architects Act, 1972 reserves the title “architect” for people registered with the Council, so an interior design studio should not describe itself or its staff as architects unless they are registered. Interior designers and contractors have no equivalent statutory body, but the ASCI Code on truthful, substantiated claims applies to price-per-square-foot offers and “lowest price” language. Project photos belong to the client’s home; get written consent before publishing and avoid showing addresses or family members. If you quote inclusive prices, state what is excluded (civil work, electricals, appliances) to avoid consumer complaints. We build these checks into every page and post.
A 90-day plan for an interior design studio
- Select your 8 to 12 strongest projects and commission a professional shoot for any that lack one.
- Build or rebuild the website with project pages, service pages and price ranges.
- Complete the Google Business Profile and set up a review request at project handover.
- Write the DM and WhatsApp qualification script.
Days 31 to 60: show the work
- Launch the Instagram calendar: three reels and four stories a week, with project reveals as anchors.
- Launch Google Search campaigns for two core services with budget-qualified landing pages.
- Publish two locality pages for societies where you have completed projects.
Days 61 to 90: fill the pipeline
- Publish 4 cost and process articles.
- Start a referral arrangement with two brokers or builders active in new possessions.
- Review enquiries by source and by budget band. Shift spend to the sources producing projects above your minimum budget.
What results look like
We track qualified enquiries (budget, area, timeline stated), site visits booked, proposals sent and projects signed, by source. Follower counts are reported but never treated as the goal.

Anything else? Call +91 98218 37342 or write to [email protected].
How do interior designers get clients online in India?
Show finished work on Instagram and a fast website, publish price ranges so enquiries are pre-qualified, be visible on Google Maps for “interior designer near me”, and run Google Ads when new societies reach possession. Then respond on WhatsApp within the hour.
Is Instagram or Google better for interior design leads?
Instagram builds desire over months and produces warm DMs. Google captures people with a possession date and a budget this month. Studios need both; the mix depends on whether you sell residential or commercial work.
Should I put prices on my interior design website?
Yes, as ranges per square foot or per room type. Studios that publish ranges get fewer enquiries but a far higher share of serious ones. Hiding prices wastes your time on site visits that never convert.
Can architects advertise in India?
Not in the usual sense. Regulation 2(1)(xxv) of the Architects (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 1989 bars registered architects from advertising their professional services, and the Council of Architecture reminded architects of this in its May 2022 advisory on print and social media. The exceptions allow, for example, unpaid press coverage of your work, brochures sent to named potential clients, and listings in trade or professional directories and websites. We do not run paid ads for registered architects’ architectural services; we focus on a factual website, directory listings and informative content, and review each plan against the current rules.
How much does it cost to market an interior design business?
It depends on the channels and how many projects you want each month. Our Local SEO plans are published from Rs 6,999 per month; Instagram and Google Ads management are quoted after a free audit, and ad spend is paid directly to Google and Meta. The one-time cost worth budgeting for is professional photography, which pays back across every channel.
Do you work with builders and real estate firms?
Yes, and they are often your best referral source. See our real estate page.
