ArtnovaAI: turning a new AI image product into a search acquisition channel
SEO and GEO case study: how Zuptek turned a newly launched AI image generator into a search acquisition channel, growing clicks 4.7x and AI citations 5x in six months.
IndustryAI SaaS, image generation Timeframe6 months
Summary. ArtnovaAI launched an AI image generator into one of the most crowded search categories on the web, with a fresh domain, a broken sitemap, duplicate metadata and no backlinks. Six months later organic clicks had grown 4.7x, impressions almost 10x, and the product was being cited by AI assistants, which brought paying users directly.
The starting point
- Brand-new domain in a category dominated by well-funded competitors.
- Broken XML sitemap and duplicate or irrelevant metadata across templates.
- Thin internal linking: prompt and feature pages were orphaned.
- Technical and on-page bugs that stopped Google from rendering key pages.
What we did
- Technical clean-up. Repaired the sitemap, fixed rendering and canonical issues, removed duplicate metadata.
- Content optimisation. Rewrote feature and use-case pages around the questions people actually type when they want to generate a specific kind of image.
- Internal-linking foundation. Built hub pages for prompt guides and styles so every page sat two clicks from the home page.
- GEO implementation. Structured prompt guides and comparisons so AI systems could quote them, and tracked citations in Bing Webmaster Tools.
- High-intent keyword expansion. Targeted “AI image generator for X” style queries with commercial intent instead of broad informational terms.
